Top five places I want to see
I figured it was time I started working on that Top 5 meme. So here goes! :)
TOP FIVE PLACES I WANT TO SEE

FIVE. Machu Picchu, Peru
Let me begin by saying that I am a travel bug and lover of nature. There are countless sights in South-America that are worth a visit (Guatemala and Columbia are beautiful, I've been told), but there is something so grand and breathtaking about Machu Picchu. A Peruvian coworker of mine often described it with such zeal that I ended up falling for it.

FOUR. London, England
I hesitated about including a city, but I've dreamed of visiting London for so long that I'm surprised I haven't gone yet. It isn't so much the sights that I'm interested in. London excites me because of its history, its culture and its everyday life. And that is something I would like to live for myself someday.

THREE. Salzburg, Austria
Salzburg has been a dream destination since I was five, or something. I don't think I can tell you how many times I've watched The Sound of Music and visualized myself running up the hills singing at the top of my lungs. That's what I call freedom, folks ;)

TWO. Kyoto, Japan
I had to do an oral presentation about Japan when I was in high school. Kyoto was truly the highlight of my research. I just fell in love with it. The sights are exquisite and the culture is so refined. The Oriental way of life is very different to Western civilizations, and my curiosity itches to see it. Besides, cherry blossoms, tea ceremonies, walks in a bamboo grove... Brb dreaming.

ONE. Santorini, Greece
This should come as no surprise to anyone. To me, this is perfection. In fact, every time I come across photos of Greece (and specifically Santorini), I want to cry! It's so beautiful and spectacular and I almost can't believe it's real. Honestly, I don't even know what else to say. I think the photos speak for themselves.

So yeah... it was really tough to select just five places. There are at least a dozen more I could have added, but the ones that made the cut are there for ~sentimental~ reasons. Honourable mentions go to Madeira, Bora Bora, Ko Phi (where they filmed The Beach!), etc. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this. Go on and tell me some of your dream destinations!
