Melissa: *in her room, sitting on a chair in the corner and feeling lost*
Skylar: *lands on his butt in the kitchen* ooof! Owwwww....
kitchen: *silent but for fridge sounds, though it's tidy and smells good*
Skylar: *frowns as he gets up and sets his books on the table* Melissa? Pandita? Merlin? *going to investigate the source of the good smell*
casserole with potato chip topping that Melissa made in the microwave: *sitting on counter by an apple pudding cake from a mix*
Skylar: ...Huh...*worried scan of the house and its occupants, even as he gets a plate out of the cupboard and dishes up some of the casserole*
Melissa: *peeking through one of the kitchen entries* Yes, Master?
Skylar: *Relaxes when he sees Melissa* Just wondering where you were....*small smile*
Melissa: Oh. *isn't sure what to do now, but startles when a knock comes to the door*
Skylar: *small frown, sets his plate on the counter and goes to answer the door as Merlin comes out of his study to do likewise*
dark-haired kid of about twelve: *looks up hopefully* Is Professor Percia home?
Skylar: ...er....yeah... *moves aside as Merlin comes to the door*
Merlin: *politely* Good evening... How may I help you?
kid: My name's Sean Watson, and I just registered in your Physics class. Um... are you busy? *hopeful dark eyes*
Merlin: I was just finishing up the lesson plan for tomorrow's classes....won't you come in? *totally ignoring Skylar and Melissa now, is in Professor Mode*
Sean: *hops right in, his grin lighting up his thin face* I can't stay too long, or Carol might get worried. But I wanted to find out where we are in the book. *holds up the massive text book*
Merlin: Well, we just finished the section in Chapter Three regarding the classifications of...*and there he goes, into another long-winded explaination on the subject matter*
Skylar: *abandoning ship in favor of getting foodstuffs, kthxbai*
Melissa: *vanishing silently down the hall*
Sean: *intently soaking up Merlin's words like the little data sponge that he is*
Skylar: *grabs his plate and heads off down the hall, following Melissa*
Melissa: *has gone into her room and is moving toward her chair in the corner*
Skylar: *quietly* Sorry I was late coming back home...I kinda wandered out of the reality again...
Melissa: *turns to look up at him, her eyes wide and frightened* I don't understand.
Skylar: ...I...kinda wound up not where I was supposed to... *thinking about showing Melissa the Nexus sometime soon*
Melissa: *fearfully* Were you in danger?
Skylar: No... unless you count being bored as dangerous...
Melissa: ...I don't understand. *afraid to admit it*
Skylar: *clicks quietly, in reassuring tones* I wasn't in any danger... I just found someplace that wasn't exactly interesting....
Melissa: *turns fully and comes back to him* I'm sorry you were bored, Master.
Skylar: Don't be...it wasn't your fault.
Melissa: Yes, Master. *looks at his plate and then goes and gets her chair so that he can sit down*
Skylar: You know...you can call me Skylar...you don't have to call me Master...
Melissa: *fearfully avoids looking at his face* Yes, Master.
Skylar: *small frown* Melissa? Is something wrong?
Melissa: No, Master. *looks up, her hands still resting on the back of the chair after she sets it down in front of him. The fear is there, but so is her trust and belief in him*
Skylar: *sets his plate down where it won't get knocked over and clicks quietly to Melissa, offering her a hug*
Melissa: *remembers sleeping by him at Rachel and Jack's place and thinks she knows what he wants. Comes to him quickly and snuggles against him, her head against his chest*
Skylar: *softly repeating what he said the night before* You're safe here...I won't let anyone hurt you ever again.
Melissa: *soft sigh* *softly, her voice holding contentment now* Yes, Master.
Skylar: *quiet clicks as he gently rubs Melissa's back*
Melissa: *melts against him, her hands closing on his shirt as the very soft whisper of a purr comes from her*
Skylar: *content to stay put and continue to rub Melissa's back*
Melissa: *purr dies down as she notices something strange and... wonderful. Soft sniff as she tries to figure out what that scent is. Is it her master? Presses nose against him and tries to sniff without making a sound*
Skylar: *about that time, he remembers the Sunrise he got for Melissa* Oh...hang on a second...I got you something... *gently moves away for a moment to get the Sunrise out of his pocket, check it over for lint or any other pocket debris, and once he's satisfied that there's nothing on it, he offers it to her*
Melissa: *oh... there's the scent!* *softly, as she takes it and admires it* Ohhhh! Thank you, Master.
Skylar: From what I heard, it's pretty tasty....
Melissa: *looks up with surprise* Tasty? *lowers her head and gives it a tentative lick* Oh!
Skylar: *watching Melissa's reaction to see if he did good or not*
Melissa: *small face lights up, and she looks up at him with shining eyes* Thank you, Master!
Skylar: *smiles* You're welcome, Melissa. *glad to see Melissa so happy*
Melissa: *lights up even more at his smile, and there is love mixed in with the trust and happiness in her eyes*
Skylar: *admiring Melissa, before he remembers that he's got a plate of food still*
Melissa: *sees the changes in his expressions* Master?
Skylar: *getting his plate and sitting on the floor* Hmm? *puzzled blink*
Melissa: *looks at him, looks at her chair. Is confused*
Skylar: I'm not too fond of sitting in chairs...
Melissa: *quickly moves it back to the corner, her treat forgotten in her hand*
Skylar: ...*puzzled*
Melissa: *and then stands and looks around and wonders what she should do now*
Sean: *drops his book in the other room and knocks over a lamp*
Melissa: *scoots to master for protection*
Skylar: *Scowls in the direction of the noise* Merlin! Quit scaring Melissa!
Merlin: *pokes his head into the room* My apologies, Miss...*goes to make sure that Sean is alright as well*
Melissa: *clinging and hiding. She's never done this to any other master, but this one's become her safe place*
Skylar: *plate is forgotten in favor of comforting Melissa*
Melissa: *leaning against him, calming and happy again. After a bit she remembers that he was eating and turns her head to look at the plate as she tries to apologize and draw away*
Skylar: *clicks quietly* shhh...it's okay....
Melissa: *looks up at him* I'm in your way so you can't eat.
Skylar: I'll eat later...*offers backrub*
Melissa: *gives him look of gentle surprise, but then once more leans against him and gives that faint purr*
Skylar: *more concerned right now with making sure Melissa is content and feeling safe*
Melissa: *listening to his pump again and nearly in his lap as she wonders at feeling safe and the sensation of his hand on her back*
Skylar: *has decided that Melissa is HIS...and that he'll protect her with all his being. Woe unto anyone who tries to take her from him*
Melissa: *says something too faintly for him to hear*
Skylar: *blink blink* Hmm?
Melissa: *shrinks a bit but stays snuggled against him* ...I love you.
Skylar: ...*faint blush, before he quietly murmurs* You're mine...and I won't let anyone take you from me...
Melissa: *hiding her face against him as her hands once more get a grip on his shirt* Thank you, Master.
Skylar: *moves to put his arms around Melissa in a gentle hug*
Melissa: *soft sound as she snuggles. Can't remember ever feeling so safe and happy*
Skylar: *content to snuggle, and is making his own quiet purring sound*
Melissa: *one hand lets go his shirt, and very very hesitantly starts to slip around his side*
Skylar: *gently nuzzles Melissa's head a bit, silently encouraging her*
Melissa: *hand goes further, and then its mate is going the other way.... And then she's hugging him back shyly, her face still hidden against his chest*
Skylar: *Soft, contented sound as he hugs Moonshadow and is hugged in return*
Melissa: *shaky sigh of contentment, and then a slight peek up at him*
Skylar: *expression is one of relaxed contentment. He's happy, and not afraid to let his happiness be seen*
Melissa: *mouth twitches at the corners, and he'll be able to feel her smile more than see it, since it's hiding against his shirt*
Skylar: *another gentle nuzzle of Melissa's head, along with the contented purr getting a little bit louder*
Melissa: *remembers something her last master had tried to do. She'd been so scared she fainted then and made him mad... but maybe this master would like that?* *turns her face up and offers a hesitant kiss*
Skylar: *surprised, but reciprocates, gently*
Melissa: *shivers slightly at the tingle that goes through her circuits, and then blinks as something seems to click. There is a flash of light... and then she's passed out*
Skylar: *soft noise of surprise at the feeling of something seeming to click, and at the flash of light, before he too passes out, still holding onto Melissa*
*over in the living room Sean looks up curiously from his text book* I saw a light.
Merlin: *Frowning and getting up from his chair to go check on Skylar and Melissa*
Melissa: *sound asleep as she hugs Skylar*
Skylar: *arms around Melissa protectively, is also sound asleep*
Merlin: *discreetly scans the pair, and raises an eyebrow at what he finds, before he's gently moving the newly bonded couple to the bed and draping a blanket over them*
Melissa: *slight movement as they're lain on the bed, but then settles down again with a sigh*
Merlin: *gently patpats their hands, before leaving the room and closing the door behind him*
