Rachel: *still a little wide-eyed over the big Christmas tree and the pile of gifts that greeted her people in the cafeteria when she came in this morning*
Destiny: *puzzled, and a bit uncertain, is peeking at the presents from behind Simon*
Lyra: *Beetling around the pile, playing a cheery Christmas song*
Simon: ...Me Simon think it look like Christmas.
Greg: *snorts and goes to the food line*
Destiny: Christmas?
Jack: *gentle chuckle, begins explaining about the human holiday, and its importance, even as Moofy decides that his head is a good spot to perch*
Simon: Who the presents for?
Rachel: ..I don't know. The people who work here, I guess.
Seamus: *from where he's carefully shaking a gift* Nawww, these're for us! :D
Rachel: What? Are you sure?
Simon: *perks, arms around Sarah*
Seamus: Yup. I checked... Everyone's got presents to unwrap... Even Sora.
Sarah: *headtilt, attention half on Jack, half on Seamus*
Jack: *puzzled* Who got us gifts?
Rachel: Does it say, Seamus?
Seamus: *nod* Yeah... We're gonna hafta write everyone in NEST thank-you notes... *chuckles*
Rachel: *looks at Jack, surprise showing in her slightly unfocused eyes* *quietly* Mike.
Jack: *small nod, moves to put an arm around Rachel's shoulders*
Melissa: *looks at Skylar and Pandita uncertainly* What should we do?

Pandita: Perhaps we should wait for everyone to be present before we unwrap our gifts...
Fluffy: *snorts and makes a snoring sound that sounds just like Samuel*
Seamus: *Cracking up*
Rodney: *nursing a cup of coffee in one of the out of the way corners, looks as though he's sulking a bit*
Serenity: *talking happily with one of the soldiers about a good place to go for lunch, seems pretty oblivious to everyone else*
Sky: *walks in with Sundog in her arms, pauses to blink at the tree so suddenly that TC has to turn sideways to keep from running into her*
Skylar: *Attention goes to Sky and TC, perks up when he notices that TC's got Hotspot with him*
Sky: *steps into the room a little tensely* What is it, Skylar?
TC: *notices Skylar's look and scowls, shifting his grip on the sparklet*
Skylar: *gives TC his best pout, holds out his hands, would like to hold the sparklet, plz*
TC: *haz baby... intends to keep baby!*
Hotspot: *Sees Uncle Skylar! Will jump to Uncle now, k?*
TC: .... -_- *outfoxed by baby himself*
Skylar: *has baby, will make with the cuddles and loving upon now*

Sky: *frowns at her wingleader, then looks at Pandita and Melissa* What is it? Some kind of beacon?

Rachel: *helping her kids find their packages*

Autumn: *Soooo not awake yet, if the fact that she just ran into the doorjamb is any indication*
Simon: *going to give Autumn her package*
Sarah: *headtilt* This one her Sora's present... *small frown* But her Sora not awake yet...
Rachel: *softly* That's alright, sweetheart. We can keep it for her. *takes a little teeny package addressed to Lyra from her* Oh, the drones get gifts too.
Lyra: *curious deedle, comes over to see what Mama has*
Rachel: *gives the little package to Lyra, wondering what's inside it*
Lyra: *curious, deedling as she carefully unwraps the gift, excited chirp as the jewelry box is revealed and opened, happy drone is happy!!! Takes out the bracelet made of round catseye and moonstone beads*
Sarah: Oooo, her Lyra got pretty!
Rachel: Awwww. Jack, look. *Colonel Franklin is ever more on her list of good people*
Jack: *Amused chuckle, even as Moofy climbs down to see for himself* Well, isn't that something?
Rachel: I wonder if there are gifts for the other drones? Sarah, where did you find that one?
Lyra: *Deedling to Moofy and getting the younger drone's help in putting on her new trinket*
Fred: *pushing forward now after hopping off Jack's shoulder. Quizzical beeps as he holds Bubba's hand*
Sarah: Found it here... *points to the stack of wrapped packages near her feet*
Bubba: *Happy beeps, since sister is happy!*
Lyra: *beetles over to Fred and Bubba, shows off her new shiny*
Fred: *oooo! Pokes at the necklace gently*
Destiny: *Still a bit uncertain, but is curiously eyeing one of the gifts*
Sky: Seamus, don't open Samuel's box.
Seamus: *Razzes Sky, reaches for another gift, reads the label, and gets up, taking the gift with him as he stands. Then he's moving to approach Sky, holding the gift out towards the woman* This one's for Sundog.
Sky: *pauses, and then takes it and sits on the floor to gently wake her ailing son and help him unwrap a book of difficult mathematic puzzles*
Sundog: *cracks a slight grin and holds it in his hands*
Rachel: *checking for and finding gifts for the other drones, and also for Greg*
Moofy: *Deedles at Destiny, who is hesitantly reaching for one of the gifts, to see if it has her name on it or not*
Fred: *excited beep and hold up another package to Destiny*
Destiny: *curious, thanks Fred as she sits and carefully unwraps the package, making a pleased sound when she discovers the hemp bracelet with blue stones*
Rachel: Oh, wow. *scans Sora's gift and finds something similar* Those are real semi-precious stones.
Destiny: *fussing with trying to put the bracelet on*
Rachel: *offers to help her, and then glances over as Simon holds up one of Autumn's brand new tops and declares it pretty*
Autumn: *grinning as she holds up the top, a pair of jeans that look like they're made just for her, and the card with a website url on it*
Simon: What card say, Autumn? *looks at it curiously* Is gift card?
Sky: *now has a lovely pair of knee high moccasins*
Autumn: *inspects the card* No... it's for a website... *small smile* I'll have to see what the site is about...
Simon: Ohhhh.
Greg: *back by the tree and scowling* Where me Greg's present!
Rachel: *hands it to him*
Greg: *rips off the paper and finds the 'Land Before Time' movie with the baby Tyrannosaur in it* Movie! Me Greg got BEST present!
Destiny: *Clicks quietly and points to a package with Sarah's name on it, even as she holds out her wrist so Rachel can help her with the bracelet*
Simon: *gets the gift for his sister and offers it to her* Ohhh, you Sarah got big present.
Greg: What? Why her got bigger present!?
Jack: *Scans the bigger present* It's not a movie, Greg... it's something else.
Greg: *pause* Food?
Sarah: *tearing the wrapping paper off now*
Simon: *sees the box* Dolly!
Sarah: *Happy squeal!*
Rachel: *done fixing Destiny's bracelet, and looks at the black-haired Corelle doll with her extra changes of clothes* Oh, wow, Sweetheart. You finally have a baby that's not furry.
Sarah: *opening the box and loveloveloving her dolly!*
Simon: *awed* Her dolly's eyes go to sleep.
Fred: *gleeing over a crossword puzzle book*
Fluffy: *blinking at a box containing a season of 'All in The Family'*
Moofy: *having a grand old time playing in the wrapping paper and ribbons, will open his gift in a little bit*
Bubba: *happy beeps, is a bit of a comical sight seeing as the giant, floppy stuffed dog he's carrying around over his head is much bigger than him, but he looks as though he couldn't be happier*
Simon: *has finally settled down to open his own gift and is staring with wonder at the sealed ant colony full of edible gel* Me Simon have pets.
Jack: *amused* Well, at least we won't have to worry about feeding these guys... The gel in that is food for the ants... *hasn't even opened his gift yet*
Simon: Me Simon love pets. *carefully covering the colony with his shirt so that the ants are in the dark like he's been told their homes usually are*
Rachel: *blinks as Sky hands her a box* What? Oh yeah, I guess I get one too. *opens and finds gourmet mint chocolate bark* *gasp*
Jack: *looks over, laughs, amused*
Rachel: *victorious fist in the air, SCORE!* *then looks at him* What do you have, sport?
Jack: Oh... *begins unwrapping his gift*
Rachel: *falls over laughing* It's the sold out germ!
Jack: *Cracking up and holding the 'germ' up*
Simon: Him Dad have him dolly him wanted! Look, Sarah. Look, Destiny.
Sarah: *looks up from loving upon her new dolly* Oooo, him Dad get new dolly too!
Destiny: *blink blink, confused*
Seamus: *sitting and holding Firebreak as she mauls a present* ...Jack, why did you get a doll?
Jack: It's a 'germ', Seamus... I've got a whole collection of them back home. *grin*

TC: *back with the last sparklet after being abandoned twice*
Samuel: *Following after, protesting groggily at having Ember picked up and carried away from him*
Seamus: *big grin and sets down his first season of Buffy to throw his brother's box set of 'Star Trek, the Next Generation' at his head*
Samuel: *yelps as he's beaned, and down he goes!*
Sky: *looks up from trying to get a moccasin boot on without putting Sundog down* Streaker?
Seamus: *laying and kicking his heels against the floor as Firebreak hits him with her present* Hah! OWNED!
Samuel: *calling Seamus all manner of impolite names under his breath, and wondering why he even bothered getting up*
TC: *picks up the box set and holds it where he can see it*
Samuel: *Sighs and sits up, rubbing at the spot where one of the corners got him*
Rachel: Skylar, stop looking at TC's present and here. Catch yours! *holds up box*
Skylar: *passes TC his gift, before holding out his hand*
Rachel: *pauses to make sure she knows exactly where to toss it without endangering the sparklet he's holding* *toss!*
TC: *takes off paper and then stops short and hands sparklet back to Samuel so that he can look at this big book full of sky paintings* *slight, wondering grin as he reads about them*
Samuel: *cuddles Ember*
Melissa: *has a vintage copy of 'The Joy of Cooking'. Is flipping through it happily and starry eyed*
Skylar: *Laughs* Well, now I don't have to try to turn Fluffy into one! *holds up the tribble that was in his gift box*
Rachel: *squint* *laugh!*
Fluffy: *thrrrpt*
Rachel: *pulls out cellphone* Chief, where are you? I have your present here.
Patrick: //I'll be there in a bit, Rachel... *sounds amused and pleased* I got a few things in the mail that got stuck behind a bush...//

Rachel: *puts down Patrick's gift by Emilia's, then picks up another one and looks around for Rodney*
Hotspot: *Abandoning Uncle Skylar in favor of seeing what sister has!*
Rodney: *still sitting out of the way, coffee having gone cold and untouched*
Rachel: *pauses and frowns, then struggles to her feet and goes over to the young mech* Roddy? Something wrong?
Rodney: *Startles* Huh? Oh... Hey Rachel...
Rachel: *settles in the chair across from him* Did you hear my question? *slides his gift across the table toward him*
Rodney: Er... no...
Rachel: *patiently, as she absently listens to Firebreak and her twin brothers click and talk about their games* I asked you if something is wrong.
Rodney: *knows it's no use trying to lie to Rachel* *quietly* I just can't help but wonder whether Kup's still alive or not... I mean... with Ironfist and Sharpshot....
Rachel: *reaches across the table to squeeze his hand* *gently* Open your present.
Rodney: *opening his present*
Rachel: Isn't that the U2 CD that Ramhorn ate?
Rodney: *chuckling* Yeah... along with the other three that were part of the set....
Rachel: Did he eat those too? *squinting at the cases and thinking that Colonel Franklin's been talking to Lisa*
Rodney: *Small chuckle* Yeah...
Rachel: *shakes head and looks over to where the four symbionts are bouncing around Brandon and enjoying their gifts and his new MP3s* After everyone's done here and had breakfast I'll go talk to Colonel Franklin and the Chief about having Moofy see if he can't find any trace of Kup, alright?
Rodney: *nods* *Quietly* Thanks, Rachel...
Rachel: *just as quietly* He's one of my people. Not one of my best patients. But still one of my people.
Rodney: *nods, takes a sip of his coffee, and makes a face when he realizes it's gone cold*
Rachel: *chuckle* That's what happens when you brood instead of drinking it.
Rodney: *Rolls his eyes and goes to get some fresh coffee, greeting Lisa as she and Mia enter the room*
Rachel: *watches him, then goes herself to grab some breakfast and let her husband know that she'll be talking to the Colonel*
