Nordstern Festival 2013

Mar 22, 2013 14:56

It's a bit early to write about it, since the festival is in June, but I'm totally anticipating it already, I think it will be the music event of the year for me XD And these are the bands I'm looking forward to most of all:

De/Vision
They will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of the band at the time, and it will be the 4th time that I'll see them live, so it will definitely be something to look forward to. I can't even say what songs I want them to play, anything they choose would be perfect XD But I hope this one will be there, it's one of my favourites:

Camouflage
And Camou actually have their 30 years anniversary, hard to believe that this band is older than me XD I've only seen them live once, and that was some time ago, so I definitely want to see how they have improved.

Diary of Dreams
They are actually too gothic for me, normally, but sometimes the band is just so cool live that one doesn't even notice that it's not exactly like the usual music, and from what I've seen on youtube, they are really good, so I'm sure it will be enjoyable.

Aesthetic Perfection
I'm not a big fan of that sort of vocals, but I really like their style and the music, and the performance might be interesting too, so I'm curious about them.

Namnambulu
They are pretty big in the synthpop scene, but somehow they feel endearingly oldschool for me, something is lacking in their music to make it more up-to-date,egdy, and relevant... But it's still not bad, if you consider them as the classics and don't expect innovation.

Patenbrigade: Wolff
They have this really amusing thing when they dress up as construction workers to perform and break things on stage XD The music would still be good even without all that stuff, but it's still fun to see a show like that.

Noisuf-X
It's the side project of X-Fusion, and I actually like it more than X-Fusion, it just sounds so much more energetic! I already predict that no other band will be able to make the audience dance like they will!

Neuroticfish
They sound like good solid futurepop band, not as epic as VNV Nation, of course, but then again, nobody is quite that epic. I haven't seen Neuroticfish live yet, so I expect it will be interesting.

In Strict Confidence
Ok, this band is like really gothic, so not quite my thing... But I kind of expect them to give a good show at least, after all, they are such a well-known band. It will be useful for me to expand my musical horizons XD

Icon of Coil
It's a project of Andy LaPlegua, whom you all know from his admirable work with Combichrist, so how could Icon of Coil be bad? No way, no how!
