Hmmm, I can't say I particularly mind Eren and Levi being gay, and I will read the occasional doujinshi...but in general, I'm kinda glad I don't have a tumblr. I think I don't really get to see the too fangirlish part of the fandom this way.
It's not the gay thing that's bad, it's how Rivaille (lol, I don't like the name Levi, it makes me think of jeans, although I know it's the correct spelling XD) is always this psychotic midget with complexes who kicks people for the lulz and Eren is a pathetic masochist who loves getting beaten up.
Although I don't like the gay thing much either, why can't there be a series where relationships of characters don't come down to sex, but just stay professional and/or friendly...
Tumblr is not bad, but sometimes the whole sexualisation and obsession with porn is annoying...
Haha, I think that fanartists always tend to overreact characters' traits...for example, about 90% of fanart involving Kagami present him as the ultimate housewife. I actually like this violent side of Levi (sorry, Rivaille looks way too random to me XD)...
I can't say I don't understand it...if the characters of a series are slashable...I guess it can't be helped. Well, slashiness is also in the eye of the beholder, I guess. I don't think Eren and Levi are particularly slashable, for example. Levi and Erwin are, though orz
Well, Kagami is not a really good example since I don't care about him much, but when they do the same to Kise always drawing him as a whiny pathetic crybaby, that really gets on my nerves. And when the same happens to any characters I like, really - I don't want to see them turned into some caricatures.
Lol, idk, Rivaille seems so sophisticated... It's like, a person with such a name could never be that violent. Levi sounds like a more violent name XDD
For some people the only criterion for slashable is that the character is male :/
Ugh that was my experience when I dumbly looked through the Magi tag on Tumblr. Nothing but gay pairings everywhere. And it's like, um....:| I swear though, there's hardly an anime fandom that isn't obsessed with sex, which usually means gay pairings because that's obviously much more exotic to them or something Idk.
I know, right? When I read the manga, I didn't feel any homo undertones, but when I checked out the fanart, it turned out that fandom pretty much considers Jafar to be Sin's waifu and Judal is a slut XD
Well, I guess I understand why the gay pairings - one hot dude is good, two hot dudes is better XD But must they reduce every friendship or rivalry to sex? That's shallow, people have so many other ways to interact except wanting to bang each other.
"I disapprove, what I initially liked about Ledo was the fact that he viewed things from a rational point of view, he thought like a proper soldier that he is

Of course I'm serious! Give me an example where rational thinking is not always the best? I can't think of one, because it is always the best. It may not seem like the best if you are looking at things from the moral point of view, but if you think about things logically, it is
