does anyone know where i can donate old pairs of glasses that i do not need anymore?

I know the Lions Club used to take them. Not sure if they still do or how exactly you contact them though.

We had a bin at the insurance agency I used to work at. Nobody would ever come and get them, and people would come in and rifle through them idly. I eventually made the boss get rid of it. I haven't seen another such bin anywhere around town in years (ie since the 80s).

Chuck em in the trash and move on. Being a guy with a weird prescription, I don't see how this would really benefit anyone. If the Lions really cared, they'd buy glasses for someone who needs them. As it stands, they're just another weird anachronistic "service club" that's going away with that generation.

i never really thought they kept the prescription in them but figured they used the frames to give away to put new prescription in them.

Not sure about places specifically in Denton but I know my eye doctor has a bin (Lewisville) so places like that might be a possibility. Also, I think places like Lens Crafters might.
