Due to an unfortunate recent spam incident (apologies to anyone that saw it, and thanks to everyone who sent me a head-up -- I'm way behind on reading anything on LJ these days), I'm changing this community to moderated posts only. Nah, it's not any work -- there's been, what, one post all year? It's actually more work to add a moderator (since I'd have to spend a few minutes figuring it out) than to just leave it as it is, otherwise I would just give you access.

It's really more of an FYI than anything.

Of course, since the convention was over in 2008, is it worth keeping the LiveJournal alive? I have archival con Website up (http://www.fanac.org/Denvention3), but the LiveJournal has been pretty much dead for the last year.

Well, I think the easiest thing (at the moment) is just to leave it; if it started getting any significant amount of attempted spam, at that point I might shut off all new posts completely; so far, this has been it.

I don't think I should delete it, however (I'm not even sure I can). Having the old posts around doesn't hurt anything, and someone somewhere might find it useful somehow.

i didn't see the spam, but, y'know, as part of the ex-BOD let me tell you that Denvention3 is over and done with. Board disbanded, accounts closed. Go ahead and delete the list.

Well, this isn't a mailing list, it's is a LJ community; if I delete it, the content is gone. They posts aren't mine or yours (well, most of them, anyway), they belong to the people who posted them, and I'm not willing to unilaterally delete other people's content without their permission -- it does no harm to leave it, but deletion invites possible internet drama.

Besides, nobody's ever deleted any of the other communities from previous WorldCons; there's a precedent for just leaving it alone.

[Accordingly, I can still approve your post if you like, but I kind of recommend against it.]

I know this is random but I need and want some help from you fellow Colorado-ians, so please read. On 7/5/11 my Blue 1986 GMC truck was stolen. If your livin in Colorado now please help me find it. It's Blue with plastic stainless trim and has a 4" lift placing at 7' 2" tall it also has really shiny Bridgestone Dueler tires with mag rims. It's got diamond plate bumpers as well with a Lawrenceburg Tennessee back licsense plate and a John Deere front license plate.
