White Light Rock and Roll Review

Matt Good's new album is good, but it is way too basic. What ever happened to exploring new sounds like with Beuatiful Midnight and Avalanche. All the songs sound like they are just run of the mill rock songs with not that much to offer. I enjoy the lyrics though. Anyways I will probably like it more after a few more listens. and I will just continue to post about the album in this entry....for the hell of it.

The themes oof the lyrics and the front cover remind me of the book..."The Great Gatsby".

He sings about the American dream as well the back cover is like a view across the lake with a solitary red light on. Much like in the Great Gatsby where he stares across the lake at a green light symbolizing his longig for the american dream.

I am aware this is a huge stretch but at least I am thinking for once.
