The good thing about Depo is it has a window for injection, especially if you've been using it cumulatively. If you've already had two shots, don't worry if you can't get in until Monday. The nurse may have been a rude bitch, but she's right. Just make sure to use a condom.

Alternatively, if you aren't squeamish, you could give yourself the injection in the fatty tissue if you're good with a mirror and following directions. I wouldn't, myself, since I hate looking at needles. If I'm reading you right, you pick up an injectible prescription at the pharmacy and then take it somewhere to get it administered? I think that's illegal in Ohio for Depo, but not diabetes drugs. However, I'm not sure how that works in your state, if they provide the vial and the needle, or just the vial. I always got mine at Planned Parenthood and they did everything on-site.

And find a new doctor. That guy sounds like a real tool.
