I can not resist the obvious. What would your answer be?

"Be very, very good at it."

Yours?

You are cheeky.

Witness you being very, very good at it.

And you call me cheeky?

I just meant my work, ma'am.

the voice of the sea is seductive; never ceasing, whispering, clamoring, murmuring, inviting the soul to wander for a spell in abysses of solitude; to lose itself in mazes of inward contemplation.

the voice of the sea speaks to the soul. the touch of the sea is sensuous, enfolding the body in its soft, close embrace.

-The Awakening; Kate Chopin

I always refer back to that excerpt in the book whenever i'm away from the ocean to remind me of the beauty the ocean conveys, the gentle touch and the secrets it keeps.

It's good. The sea looks different to me, lately, but that's because I'm busy sproinging over it on ropes and so forth. The sea is a safety net which catches, but humiliates your ass for missing your mark.

-Argh I'm Wet; Johnny Depp

Oh no. Perhaps you should revisit the sea? Or at least a nice bubble bath.

Other people's words are the only thing that can get the little hairs on the back of my neck to stand up these days. I've been reading way too many girl trash romance novels and sighing even though the plot line's shit. Or listening to music that I wish I'd written the lyrics to first but then I guess it'd be totally different and less to move me with. I like whoever said "To be very, very happy."

And I took a flight recently and caught the chocolate movie, but the guy next to me kept ramming his elbow into my headset controls and I ended up watching at least forty five minutes in Spanish.

I don't think it's about being very, very good if you're not happy. Who cares if no one remembers your name, as long as it matters to you. To some people, my life is about getting drunk and making bad for tv movies but I could truly care less about their opinions.
Thanks for the birthday mention, and if my present from you is nothing but some sort of sprinkles, I can accept that.

Being very, very good IS happy. It falls into place.

You're welcome. I let almost everybody go by but you, you know.

Being good makes others happy, and that in return, karma's right on back to you.

And this is why I feel as happy as one of those contestants on The Price is Right who get excited and make t-shirts saying "I came from Austrailia to see BOB BARKER" (even though no one in their right mind would leave Austrailia for a man with a little skinny microphone.)

If you can't be happy, be good. Yeah. I'll take that one for now.

I'd leave Australia to see Clive Barker. Maybe Sue Barker.
