So I'm headed off to Wales tomorrow morning for a short stint working as a director's assistant for a small independent film that will most likely never get a US release. I'm okay with that because it's a chance to get out of Hollywood and explore somewhere I've never been and hey if there was ever a time to do it, now is it, I guess. I'll miss my ( Read more... )

Good luck and have fun! It sounds like it's going to be a great experience.

And I fully recommend going to Guatemala. It is absolutely gorgeous and Antigua is a nice town. I fully support this plan!

Yah! I was in Guatemala in November-ish and spent a morning at Earth Lodge and it was amaaaaaazing. I just want to go back.

Dude, good luck for the director's assistant gig, I'm sure you'll be great and have heaps of fun! Sounds like an amazing opportunity and learning curve, regardless of whether the film even gets released or not. Will miss your constant Cap tweets though.

That Earth Lodge sounds awesome too, thanks for bringing it to my attention! Are you not going to be working this summer at your regular gig? Also good luck with the that screenwriting program as well, I'm sure you'll get in with your qualifications.

I talked to Maria about the Writers program for NBC before as well, I think she was ~sorta interested. Let me know if you end up doing it! I think it would be a great chance.
