WHAT THE FUCK

Aug 18, 2009 09:59

So I come inside this morning at a reasonable hour, 9:45, and I get this, immidiately, before I even pass the lawn chair in the living room:

Cil: You find a job yet?
Me: No
Cil: What a surprise. All of my friends have found jobs.
Me: ...good morning to you too.
Cil: Of course, they all went and looked for jobs.
Me: How do you know what I do?
Cil: Oh I  ( Read more... )

Okay...I will be the only person to ever say this that are friends here on this website...but don't blow CeCe off simple because of this conversation. In fact, nobody say WHATEVER. It's rude to the person despite them never knowing what was said and shows a lack of respect for towards HER, who is our ELDER. She deserves better than that, us blowing her off simply because our opinion of her may not make us open to anything she might say. CeCe, despite all her faults (and we have faults too), is a wonderful person who sometimes I believe just wishes for others to have a good life. And if she doesn't see it, she motivates (or berates depending on who you talk to) them to try and get better ( ... )

I agree with you mostly on this. I wasn't saying to disregard her completely. But Cil can be very abrasive (I don't know if that's the right word). I mean, one time I was at Cathie's house and she didn't even say anything particularly mean, and I WAS a little sensitive at the time, but still, she made me cry. :( So although, sure, we can listen to her and stuff, she can still be rather....(I can't think of a good word) blunt? I don't know. :P

She comes off that way. In all honesty, I think it's a protective measure for herself. I've seen her at her best and her worst which is why I get a bit defensive about her. I know making you cry isn't exactly what would qualify as "nice", but honestly, she'd do anything for those she cares deeply for. She only says things if she really truly cares.

And blunt? *giggles* I'm one of the worst people to talk to about that. I'm blunt, tactless, and whatever other word there is for not being...oh, saying something without insulting someone. I've done it my whole life. She's a sweetheart though.

I just wanted to clarify. LOL...see, my previous comment WAS blunt. That and I was sleep deprived which really takes away ANY chance for me not being blunt.

By the way...my words are not meant to insult. Just wanted to put that out there before somebody says it.

Also, Breana I know you're trying to find a job. I know you're working hard. I know things are tough for you. I continue to pray for you every day. Take care of yourself, okay?

See, you haven't been here to witness these attacks. I have. I don't know what the hell's crawled up her butt, but every time Breana even walks into the room,-she doesn't even say a word!- Cil has a fit. Just yesterday she attacked, claws extended, about finding a job. She's not encouraging, she's attacking!! Not only that, she seems to take a sadistic pleasure in rubbing in the fact that I found a job out of pure dumb luck while she's still looking. Not just pointing out I have a job, I mean like rubbing lemon juice in a paper cut.

Thank you Lizzie. That means a lot. And she's only seen ONE of the attacks, Charity.

Well go ahead and treat me like I haven't seen anything. I've seen her attack. Not you guys, but I"ve been attacked personally.

And Lizzie, again kudos to you defending your friend. Not many do these days.

I'm sorry you have to go through this, Breana. But question, have you tried ASKING why she's attacking you in such a manner? Perhaps that will clear up any possible misunderstandings that have cropped up with her. Perhaps explain what you've been doing lately. Communication is one of the biggest issues that is found to be the breakdown of so many human relationships.

I've had TWO lectures on therapeutic communication this week so I'm feeling in the mood.

Just to remind you though...I am a friend! Not an enemy. I only want to help, but completely lashing out simply without understanding of a person or their intentions makes it rather difficult to figure out what's going on.
