The Holiday Fest is not nearly as awesome as it used to be since the OLCC took it over. ;_; Couple of years that I worked it we all went home with $50 a piece in tips. Oh well, still working for my mug this year. :D

is that what happened? i know that it's now run by some peerless promotions or something like that, impossible to find any information about them online.

Well, maybe not literally, but they're definitely way less laid back and cool than they used to be.

They just keep making this thing harder and harder to enjoy.

yup. winter ales are my favorite, but between bottles and geoff's great selection, i'm going to manage to get most of the beers at the festival before it starts.

there are a few that i'll need to taste there, but i'm starting to see going to it as more of a chore than fun - like driving to a distant beer store.
