I always figured I would be faced with some sort of tough decision. That had to be something out there more life changing than if I was going to have roast beef or turkey in my sandwich today. It touches on a couple things you mentioned: holding out on expressing how you feel's never good as I'm sure your experiencing. The other is what I was always told when I was in a rut, and that was to just do something. Doesn't really matter what, but once something is started everything else will begin to find its place.

I think it's important to always let yourself feel. It's unhealthy to deny yourself your own thoughts. No matter how guilty or angry or sad something makes you, just feel it. That's essential.
Oh, and you are worth so much. I know how tempting it is to go running back in fear, thinking that you don't deserve better or that maybe you won't find it, but you don't need to do that. You're amazing and if you truly want something, you'll get it. Allow yourself to be joyous, vibrant, and thankful and you will attract great things in life. That's the truth, I promise.

This entry was pretty inspiring, too.
"You can always change things no matter how old you are. you can always start making the right decisions. it's never too late. it's not for anyone. do you understand that? you can mess up all you want. make the same mistake over and over again. it's up to you when you finally decide to make things right. stop hating yourself for your past and start doing something for yourself so you can be happy with the person you are and will become. stop using the past as an excuse."
That was really, really helpful to read... it was like almost obvious advice, but it was really sincere and deep. You're such a good person, Dina Al-Zebra! We gotta get all fancied up and go to dinner!!
