I am a magnificent creature... I'm Harry F&$#ing Potter!

Although it was not quite the SHEER BRILLIANCE that is "Wizard People, Dear Reader" (link here: http://www.illegal-art.org/video/wizard.html). The new Harry Potter film was decidedly decent and caused me to question the boundaries of my own mortality ( Read more... )

1) yeah, i was trying very very hard to stifle my laughter there.

a lot of my issues were the same as sophie's, largely because i stupidly listened to the book not very long ago. so i missed a lot of things - including that trelawny's part is a lot huger than that. hrm.

i still like the masturbation scene at the beginning of the last movie best.

every time there was The Gay, i made a little heart with my hands. i realized at some point that probably the whole theatre thought that sophie and i were high, for how much we kept giggling at some point. oh, i think when he was kissing cho. hmm.

Haha! Well a lot of people were laughing then, although you two were definitely laughing the hardest.
Did you catch the part when Ron was standing behind Harry and grabbing onto him? It was slightly gay, but I realized the possibilities for people to make images for slash were endless. It's like the film intentionally supplies these things!

(nod) it must have been a different time one, because it was another extended segment when we were just totally giddy. egad.

i think noticed that part... i was mostly tuned into how gay sirius and harry were, and how little remus was in this movie, and how odd it was that luna and harry also seemed like a viable pair here - just as much as harry and ginny, really.

Harry and Luna had way more screentime than he did with Ginny. Did she even have any lines? I had to convince Jenny that Ginny actually was in the movie because she was so impossible to notice.
Yeah there was pretty much gay splattered all over the place. I'm surprised no one slipped in it. Sirius/Harry/Ron splooge lining the floors and walls haha

Hi there. I’m a friend of vamptastica, the author you hurt by trashing her fic at badbuffyfic recently. I am simply at a loss to understand why anyone would spend precious time making fun of someone else’s efforts. People who write fanfic on LJ are not professional writers. So often they are fans who love the characters and want to express themselves and fulfill their dream of writing. If their work is not up to your standards, why can’t you simply choose not to read it? To make fun of them in this way only ensures that they will not have the confidence to keep writing and trying to improve. How could you participate in trashing someone else’s dream? If you are an author, this is simply unfathomable. If you are a reader, it’s still just plain mean and so unnecessary.

carlyinrome has the following words on her profile page:

What I Like About Being a Nine:
Being nonjudgmental and accepting.
Caring for and being concerned about others.

What a crock! You make the entire fandom a worse place. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Kudos, my friend, for making this whole ordeal even more amusing. Your comments to me just made me laugh 10 times harder than that ridiculous fic did in the first place! It is like a gift that keeps on giving.

Yeah, I'm sorry I ever did this. Someone I care about was hurt. That's all.

No, someone you care about is an overreacting drama queen. I've read vamp's posts. She even said that it's an old fic of hers that she thinks is her worst. So why go apeshit? If she would have just come out and said "oh yeah ha, ha, that fic is 5 years old and I've gotten much better since then, so please don't mock it" then everyone would have apologized and the whole thing would have smoothed over. By flaming everyone and saying "go tell these people to fuck off", it only makes a mountain out of a molehill. When you consider that no one was personally attacking her, or even knew it was her fic (or who she was) in the first place, it really makes you and your flist look bad by flaming people.
