my Mom gave me some money, so i actually got to eat today. i've been eating the past couple days, but a few eggs, rice, and potatoes for a body that usually needs 3000 calories or more to maintain itself makes for a nasty situation. but i ate meat today, and a $3.75 (after exchange rate) pizza. it felt real good

let me again emphasize that i'm not political. which means that i don't pay attention to these things, and when i decide to say something, it's usually not from a position of in-depth research.
so,
1. i lean leftist. while yes, such laws are independent of an economic system, but i usually fail to see the difference between the economic and political system when it strikes me the big businesses are the ones pushing the politicians to make such decisions. you'll have to explain it to me sometime.
2. i surrender. i don't know the first thing about Venezuela, except it's geographical position. i'd always felt a little uncomfortable suspecting our gov's interest in the middle east to have more to do with oil than with humans, and then buying that oil anyway. i buy from Citgo because it's cheap and i like the people who work behind the counter. very superficially. and then having read a single article, i thought "hey, that's kinda cool."
i'm highly uninformed, and hereby detract my statement. sorry to make you sick.
