Ha-HA! It works!
I have finished gluing all of the pieces for the 5x5x5 puzzle cube. It can now be assembled!
Obviously the pieces need a fair amount of sanding, to take off the excess epoxy and help them fit together better. There's also the matter of the four bonus pieces (to make all 29 pentacubes, but these aren't needed to solve the cube puzzle). I have just barely enough walnut cubes to make these. If I'd realized how much material I was going to lose to the split and the knot in the piece of walnut I bought, I would have bought more.
But it works! Ha-HA!
