Any time I've been out of the house for at least an hour, upon my return Van expects attentions.  Namely, the first thing --according to him -- that I must do when I get home is to lay down on my back upon my bed.  Van will immediately leap onto my chest and present himself for proper petting.  Sometimes he will remain standing, turning
