Another sign it's time to leave.

I suppose I am disappointed with the notion that another year may go by without a real celebration for my birthday. It seems to happen every year. I truly cannot remember a birthday where afterward I felt like it was satisfactory. I guess it must have been back in High School with those gatherings I would call "parties" over at my house. I think ( Read more... )

happy belated birthday!! herlastwords September 29 2006, 02:47:25 UTC
hope you enjoyed your b-day, party bash or not; it is the anniversary of your waking into conscious life after all. You've got a lot of time ahead of you, hope when you travel you gain many useful experiences...wish I could go backpacking in Europe. Just curious, any reason why you chose oct 6th? That's pretty close, hope you've got your intinerary ready. In any case, catcha later, and best of luck
Cheers!

Oh, why thank you! What a surprise, how'd you know it was my birthday?

Actually, the trip I planned on taking to Europe was in a year. My friend's trip to Europe is in 6 months. It was the move to San Luis Obispo that was going to be on Oct. 6th, but that's certainly not going to happen on that date (if at all at this point). I chose the 6th because, though I wanted to be down there for my birthday, my folks wanted me to wait until they got back from their vacation. On the 6th, they'd be able to help me bring my things down.

My birthday was uneventful. Watched Waterworld then went to work. But it was cool, the kids in the youth group threw me a surprise party (which really was a surprise). I applaud them. Denney wanted to take me out, but I don't really get into the whole drinking thing, etc. He said I missed a sweet motown band at The Blue. No biggie.

So how've you been? My stupid LJ format doesn't let me go read entries beyond the first dozen that show up, so I often miss out on what people are up to. Hope you're doing well.
