I'm still riding an emotional high right now, so I'm going to make this post short and sweet:

I went to a karaoke bar tonight and -- without a drop of liquor in me -- did a rendition of James Brown's "Sex Machine" that had everyone on their feet and dancing. I don't know if I want to wake up tomorrow; nothing could be as cool.

i can only hope that the people in my workshop on tues. think so as well. i somehow feel there are some minor changes taht need to be made, but this is probably the best thing i've ever written.

Despite the fact that I haven't read everything you've written, I made the exact same comment to Keegan when we read it the other night. And even if your workshop doesn't go well -- which I imagine it will -- I think you wrote a legitimately great poem. Not for somebody I know, not for a local poet, but really just great in general. Keep it up man.
