The Last Four Months (In Under __ Words)

Lost a friend. Worked some more. Hated it. Saved some money. Quit my job. Spent some money. Hung out. Drove to Denver with Zak. Saw Keegan. Stayed for two weeks. Came back. Got a girl. Kept her (so far). Hung out some more. Looked for a new job. Didn’t find one. Ran out of money. Came back to the internet.

In true literary fashion, I have a picture of Beckett in my bedroom. I have started reading Salinger and Tolstoy and dyed my hair red. It is nice to know you got a girl, and kept her. Incidentally, whaaaaat band wrote the song "badlands" that you sent me a long time ago? If you were online I would message you and ask! It's been very hard trying to find good music on my own. I've started reading/scouring pitchforkmedia.

I've never read Tolstoy. Lately I've been reading books by people who mostly aren't dead. Unlike Salinger, ha-ha. Strangely, they're also mostly Japanese. Japanese = aren't dead? I don't know. Anyway...

Badlands is by an LA band called Division Day... They have a MySpace (gasp!). Though I hear that particular song was written and preformed by one of the members, who isn't the primary songwriter. I heard a long time ago he was coming out with a solo album, but I haven't looked into it. I haven't been so internet-connected lately, so it's hard to do such things.

In a related note, I haven't been listening to new music, and I've kind of decided that pitchfork is the devil. I only listen to black people these days... Wilson Pickett, Otis Redding, and James Brown on the one hand... Tech N9ne, DJ Screw, and the Clipse on the other.

So, that's it on my end, aside from what's written above. What've you been up to miss?
