I've seen a few pictures of 3 where is hair is more salt and pepper than white. What do you think of trying out this colour when I change his hair?

I think it would be okay - as long as its a different colour from what you use for 4, it will be fine. 4's hair needs to be much darker than 3's, that's the important thing.
