I am so sleep deprived. To give you the context, I feel refreshed after ten hours of sleep. I can function with eight hours, if need to be and without interruption seven hours a day. Milo, 2 years old next month, has always been sleeping in our bedroom. When going to bed and when he wakes up at night he gets the breast and is a happy puppy. Turns ( Read more... )

May I ask when he wakes up, do you guys just lay in the bed hoping he will calm on his own? I was having the same problem but my sister gave me some advice. She said when her daughter won't stop nursing but she had had enough milk she takes her off the boob and then walks her around the house, offer some water (half the time mine refuses but gets his mind off of things for a second ), but after walking him around the house a few minutes (he will look tired but not crying) I then try to lay him down again. He will go back to sleep but if he does not repeat. I know it's difficult to wake up and walk but it is better than laying down and hearing the crying and ripping at your clothes.

Sorry, I forgot to answer. The problem resolved within one week. Now he is sleeping breast-free which means he can sleep again by himself even if he happens to wake up shortly at night. It's really an improvement.

I am usually comatose when waken up in the middle of the night. I recall sleepwalking to the kitchen to warm up a cup of milk or tea once or twice. Also since he's not a baby but rather a two year old with an iron will carrying him around was no option anymore (like force hugging a wildcat)

Lol only if he's calm but if not I just set him on the floor. Mine is still waking 5 times a night no matter what I do :( but at least he goes back to sleep quickly. I would like to wean but my husband doesn't like to be disturbed so he's requested that I wait until 2 years old lol Lately I've been telling the baby "oppai mou neta" and it's working lol He understands the words for sleep and boob. He doesn't like that they "went to sleep" but he seems to understand.
