For the vine.. I'm not sure what sort, but I would recommend fiddling around with textures. And the joltiks.. Hmm.. I would of made the base a really bright yellow, and shaded them more orange-yellow than grey-yellow. Maybe lighter/brighter blue for the eyes and possibly a little bit of "glowing" around them?
