break update
tuesday:
leave oberlin at 2:30 reach glenside at 10:30. taco bell along the way delicious enough to be worth mentioning.
wednesday:
christmas cookies!!! me and ruthie have been decorating the christmas cookies for our mom for the past 10 years and we still can never get it just right. oh well the cookies are fuckin delicious. we also went to church on this night.
thursday:
christmas! pancakes and presents in the "morning" (it was i think noon by the time we started), and then really nothing for the rest of the day.
friday:
spent a lot of the day at my grandmothers house with my mom and ruthie. we managed to break and fix her cable, and eat an entire pizza. we also cleaned a lot of expired food out of her fridge. ::shudder::
saturday:
o'neill family christmas! {we entered through the front door, not the back door heeeheeeheee} {there}. we brought aviv, our 3rd brother/louis' best friend along with us. ironically, louis was not there for the first couple hours because he was at work. there was so much food!!!! i had mostly dessert and beer. my stomach did not thank me later. when i looked at my phone when i got home, i found at least 8 pictures on my phone that my cousins had taken of themselves. go figure. also there are 12 immediate cousins in our family and coincidentally, "12 days of christmas," so, we sang the "cousin lovin'" version of the song--->each cousin had a different day, giving things related to their personality or job or whatever. my day was the 2nd day. "on the 2nd day of christmas, nina gave to me, 2 mugs of beer." yeah that's right. because i am awesome.
got home and fell asleep for a while, woke up and did shots of 151 with lou and aviv while we watched step brothers. and talked to kristen!!!!!!! THANK GOD. (even if i don't remember any of it ;) ;))
sunday:
ruthanne and our parents went up to pack up our grandmother while i cleaned our bedroom like a maniac and emptied out drawers and stuff and all. so yeah for anyone following the "our grandmother is moving in" saga, here is the update: the construction on her basement apartment in our house is not coming along quickly, even though it was predicted to be finished by now. so, we moved her in anyway because we couldn't wait any longer, so she is staying in ruthie's room and ruthie (and me for the next 3 days i guess) have moved into the family room. big fun. we all feel better finally having her here but it is a real shame for her that the apartment isn't finished. oh well it will be cool. she is so cute up there all tucked in bed. :) :)
watched the 1st half of the sound of music tonight, before it gets all nazi-ish.
on the agenda before i leave:
-go shopping for NEW BRAS. there HAS to be a sale somewhere.
-go to naked chocolate cafe for awesome hot chocolate
-see friends!
-maybe find something to do for new years eve. most likely not. eh.
and then i am leaving thursday morning to return to the mothership...OBERLIN. mwahahahahaha.
