You looked pretty distracted, and I figured something big was on your mind... take the time you need to sort yourself out, and know that I'm here if you ever want to talk about it, and there's nothing you could ever say that will change the way I feel about you.
Yes, I understand what you mean about the "good enough" demons. That's when you smile, tell them you may not be perfect, but you're good enough for yourself. If you can't meet the bar, change the bar! In the end, it's only yourself that you have to please.
I definitely have those little devils you feel. I think they have to do with my lack of confidence in myself . . . and the fact that I'm definitely influenced by the popular image of body size. But I'm working on both of those. But Michelle, I find it hard to believe you got into the Coast Guard Academy by not being enough. Keep writing - even if you don't feel like laying all your problems on other people, it's good to get them out somewhere. :) -Christine
