Hurricane Katrina aftermath

I was watching the national news this evening and was very upset by what CBS reporter John Roberts was saying in his report from New Orleans. He was reporting from a bridge on I-10 a short distance from the Superdome where New Orleans residents who could not get to the Superdome had taken refuge due to the flooding. Thanks for the words of wisdom, my mother told me a long time ago that if you are going to stir it up do it with a big paddle. Most of the people in the neighborhood that we live in here are saying the same thing about this situation but in a more restrained way. It's all over the web right now in blogs and journals like thissiterocks.com/hurricane some of the entries there are coming from reporters and so on.

I'm still not done writing about this because I am so angry about the way this situation is being handled. On a good note though there are 4 semi's leaving here today for New Orleans with 53 foot refridgerated trailers full of food, water, baby formula, medicines and clothing I know that doesn't sound like much in the big picture but every little bit helps. And there will be more trucks leaving tommorow with more supplies.
