Belated notes

Although set list of KA.F.KA's performance "The Maiden voyage" has been around the net for quite a while already (along with teasingly short video excerpt and photos), I thought I'd bring it there too with some comments in hope that someone else wanted to discuss their compositions.

1. Swan Dive
2. Night Walkin' Blues
3. Spider & Pirates
4. ALABAMA SONG
5. Moon of Wallachia
6. KAFKA
7. Illusion of you
8. Shadow
9. Transmission

EN Sans Toi Mamie
feat. Mari Kaneko

Out of nine songs, 3 are covers. Namely, these are K.Weil and B.Brecht's "Alabama Song" (well-known to Issay fans already), Tsuchiya Masami's "Kafka" (Issay, citing "Transformation" from book during this one, apparently impressed fans more than anything) and Joy Division's "Transmission". The encore song also appears to be cover - of Salvatore Adamo's "Sans toi, ma mie". Other six are original compositions, from which I managed to get info only on "Moon of Wallachia". Japanese fan who attended the live and whom I happened to talk later said this one to be Tsuchiya-san and Issay's song, for which the former wrote music and the latter - lyrics. As one may guess from the title, the author was pretty much interested in Dracula's story. From a variety of reports it looks like Issay himself appeared on stage only in the end of the third song and left seemingly before the last one, as Tsuchiya-san sang "Transmission" alone. As for encore, members also played it without Issay.
Let's hope one day we'll see at least CD of the project's materials that Tsuchiya-san repeatedly mentions he'd love to record^^
