Anyway, they and the gang caught the sharkmen's leader, an old mna who had a hearing aid to listen to people. What were he and his crew of scubamen doing masquerading as sharkmen? They were smeltng gold dubloons into trashcan lids to sell

So you have turned into a crazy hippy that is opposed to taxation. What you should have found wrong with this episode is that the old man probably had to buy his own hearing aid without the help of goverment based healthcare. The goverment needs money if we ever want it to acheive any of it's lofty ambitions.
