My parents thought you were a very nice boy, by the way. My mom mentioned it like, 6 times. I think she's mentally marrying us.

But, back to your post!

Maybe you do just need some alone time. Once you do that, you'll be more grateful to the people that are loyal to you and care about you. You'll also be able to differenciate between people that you like being around and people that are worth your time.

I just did this recently and tried to determine who deserves everything I've ever done for them and who deserves me to never have to do it for them again. Turns out that I have maybe four friends and the rest of the people are just people that call me because they're bored.

An important step in this is surrounding yourself with worthy people. It's how you obtain self-respect and with that doesn't come a train of regretful thinking.
