It's interesting to watch LJ die a slow death. Most friends resort to apologizing with their posts about being away. Without an audience, does our words lose their significance

It makes me sad to see LJ die off as FB just doesn't have the same functions as LJ. The communities here are way better than FB and I hate that FB is such a "soundbite" type of update. I want to know how my friends are doing, I don't want a one line update. OTOH, many people are busy and one liners are all they have time for. Oh well.
I've largely blanked on the plot of "Snow Crash" though I do recall enjoying it by the end. Stephenson gets a little dense at times, but in both that and "Cryptonomicon" it all comes together rather nicely.
"Snow Crash" also has one of my favorite supporting characters. You'll probably guess which one. Enjoy!
lj may be dying but i still keep posting. I haven't much as of late cause I haven't had much to say that is worth saying if you know what I mean. As far as i am concerned, fb will not replace lj and people will know where to find me when they care. it does suck not to interact as much though.
yah, I miss having the window into my friend's lives and getting to really know them better. Facebook just isn't the same with it's fast food approach to communication.
