So glad that you're going to write me something I'm going to love!
General wants/don't wants:
Stories don’t need to be super sappy and sugary/fluffy, but please don’t get all grim and dark. Bittersweet can work if there are hopeful tinges. I like humor, and I don't think I do a good job of writing it - sparkling snappy dialogue always works!
I generally prefer het or gen. Explicit sex can be good, romance is always in (as applicable for this challenge).
I'm a fan of AU, but prefer canon-divergence or "what-if" scenarios, rather than "all the characters are at boarding school together" types. (Unless, of course, the characters are already together at boarding school together...)
I am a huge fan of "seemingly unrelated group of people trapped somewhere and discover they a) have something in common and b) can't just leave" - see Clue, see And Then There Were None. Please feel free to get soap opera-ish! Half-siblings no one knew about! Illegitimate siblings you thought were just family friends! Psycho-half-siblings who want to kill you and take your life over! Convenient accidents! Crazy wills and marriages of convenience!
No dubcon/non-con, graphic violence and gore, sexual violence, cruelty to animals. No major character death that isn't canon (feel free to kill extras off).
1. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe - Sorceress, Queen Marlena
Prompt: So I love the Sorceress, and I love Queen Marlena. I'd love to see something that showcases these two. Maybe something when Marlena first
comes to Eternia - does the Sorceress talk to her then? Or maybe something about the twins (one of the things I love is that Marlena KNOWS about her
son). Or maybe a story where they save the day? Feel free to include He-Man/Adam but I really want the focus on these two.
I'm really open here - introspection, the two women on secrets (I so so so love the Rainbow Warrior episode, where we find out that Marlena knows Adam is He-Man), saving the day. Maybe the Sorceress kinda-sorta lets Marlena in on what might be in store for the young Earth woman.
2. Ever After High - Raven Queen, Lizzie Hearts, Darling Charming, Duchess Swan
Prompt: So I recently got sucked into this fandom by watching it with my daughter, and then I started reading the books... and well, here we are. I love
Raven, especially the whole thing where she and Dexter are falling for each other. Anyway, what I'd really like is something aftermath-y for Way Too
Wonderland. I love the end where Raven gives everyone the power to own their stories. How does Darling feel about her brother and Raven? And how is
the relationship between Lizzie and Raven now? Duchess isn't in WTW but I just finished the Next Top Villain, and she seems like she should be super
happy about owning her own story. Note, Dexter is not required to appear.
Some more thoughts: How does the fact that the Wonderland kids can go home now affect things? And others can come to Wonderland? How does Headmaster Grimm react to the events of WTW (focusing on these 4). How do the 4 of them react to owning their stories? Also, I'm not precisely anti-Apple, but I can see how she would get on the nerves of all 4. If you want to work in Alistair or Chase Redfern, that could be interesting but not required. (Lizzie seemed taken with Chase, and platonic friends with Alistair.)
3. She-Ra: Princess of Power - Castaspella
Prompt: I want a Castaspella story. Feel free to drag in He-Man|Adam (because I do ship them) if you like, or She-Ra, but I'd really love something
focusing on her.
I don't have much else in the way of prompts on this. Eternia or Etheria setting is good, although I like Eternia better.
4. Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries (TV) - Nancy Drew, Frank Hardy
Prompt: I'm a die-hard Nancy/Frank shipper, and what I love about the show is the whole "will they fall for each other before they kill each other" vibe
that I get off it. I'd love something where they have to work together (love the Hollywood episode, and the Dracula episode), preferably some sort of
travel venue. It doesn't have to be shippy, but I love the way they play off each other.
Pretty much this. I really enjoy the aspect where they're trying to one-up each other, and I love how the two of them spark off each other.
