I play baseball, but what I was talking about is that there's a big tournament coming up on Earth called the FIFA Tournament, its a big football (soccer) tournament held only once every four years. I'm a huge football fan so I guess I'm more than a little excited about it.
Especially since I have a girlfriend who's into it too, makes picking out a spot for a date much easier. *wink*
why is there two names for soccer? It seems confusing, maybe you could show me sometime. I'm not sure if i understand about baseball either. Mr popo says it's the great american pastime, whatever that means.
Well, it's cause of the Americans that there's two names for football. They decided they wanted to call that game they use a doctored up rugby ball for, "football" so they started calling our football "soccer". Most words in the rest of the world are called something else in America because the Americans figure they can get away with renaming everything *snort*.
And baseball kinda came from England, but it was called Cricket there and I do have to admit the Americans made it much better.
I could teach you how to play one or the other if you wanted. It must be pretty boring up there with you and Mr. Popo, maybe you two should take up a sport...
