I won it on ebay almost two years ago. I picked it (and one more) up in Ottawa, IL for $50. The catch is that both were in disrepair. I replaced most of the power tubes and the electrical cord and the AM radio works great. I've had some difficulty getting the record player back in working order. The motor, which only plays 78s, is just too worn out. I will eventually replace it with a multi-speed motor.
The other one, which Shannon has, is in need of more rewiring.
A friend of mine had one of those that we tried to fix up. We got the radio working perfectly (I love tube sound), but could never get the record player working just right, so we turned that half of it into a small liquor cabinet/drink server.
I am contemplating gutting all the old player parts and adding newer hardware. The problem is that the one-channel amp limits it to mono, so I'd rather try replacing the motor and use vintage mono cartridges. I'm not too sure if I can split a stereo feed into a mono device to get both channels to come through.
