That's why I ignore the cursed books. The best writing for TNG, DS9, and Voyager is dead and gone. It's sheer idiocy. Just ignore them and save yourself a lot of heartache-- that's what I do. I re-read the good Voyager books (Christie Golden's are really the only good ones) and say to hell with the rest.

I refuse to consider anything that wasn't on the show cannon. It leaves me with the comfortable belief that Janeway/Chakotay have a chance!
