pretty depressing how sorkin seems to have blown his wad in those early episodes. :-( i've noticed that the things that bug me most about the show involve the romantic entanglements, and i'm wondering if he's just bad at writing relationships. the few i remember on the west wing weren't ever the primary plotlines, so maybe they just didn't bug me as much.

i've felt weirdly sad about anna nicole too; haven't quite figured out why it hit me. plus, what a life her daughter's got ahead of her. hard to imagine being born into such chaos.
