WHO: Lex Luthor
WHERE: A park near building 36 (strip mall)
TIME OF DAY: Afternoon
POST SUMMARY: There is nothing like piano in the open air to change one's mood.
There were very few things Lex thanked his father for. One because they were so few and far between and two; his father had a nasty habit of using anything and everything against Lex to the point that it was hard to grateful for much of anything.
But there were two things that no matter what happened, Lionel seemed to be unable to taint. Fencing and playing the piano. Both were things his father had insisted Lex be taught at his expensive boarding schools. Fencing was Lex's favorite way of dealing with his frustration and aggression, usually caused by his father, and playing the piano reminded him of his mother. He used to play by her bedside, between when he'd been tracking down a medical lead to save her.
Today, the frustration of living in this deserted city was eating at Lex, so he'd tried to seek out one of his two favorite activities. Fencing wouldn't do without a partner, so a piano it was. His search brought him to the park, not the usual place people would think to look for a piano, but Lex was intent on the bandstand he'd spotted while playing chess with Florence. It was a chance, but it proved to be a good one as underneath a weather proof covering, Lex found a simple, upright piano.
Settling onto the seat, Lex began with a couple scales, smiling as the piano was still fairly in tune. Then, he moved into some Beethoven, half closing his eyes as music filled the air and calmed him in ways very few things did.
Open to all and multiple threads are very welcome. Lex can play classical to jazz to just about anything.
