I suspect that due to the conflicting accounts this case is going to rely heavily on physical evidence. How much of that we will get to see is in question. I will not deny that this shooting could have been avoided, I wouldn't be surprised to learn Zimmerman assaulted Martin at some point. The question is was he retreating to his truck when Martin then attacked him (which would somewhat match with his statement) or did Martin gain the upper hand and get shot for his troubles.
