Here's what you should've done... ex_disinterm476 June 18 2004, 08:29:39 UTC
My first girlfriend Lindsay frequently experienced this kind of sexual harassment living where she did in Milwaukee. The worst thing you can do in a situation like that is laugh or smile, because it communicates positive receptivity to their crude sexual advances, and they may think that you do in fact "want it," and that's when things can turn potentially ugly if they decide to start following you. You have to be very firm and invoke the threat of the law immediately. Next time pull out your cell-phone and tell them to fuck off or they can expect to "get some lovin'" from their fellow prisoners in jail.

i've had this happen to me on several occasions. when i lived on the north side i had to walk rather far to get to my apartment and was more vulnerable than i was last night because i wasn't in the safe confines of my car. i wasn't worried, very much, because it was super funny the way he proposed it, and i knew that if he started any trouble, i could speed off and call the cops.

thanks for the concern, though.
