I'm right there with you, even though at the moment I've settled on a job that pays the bills, has good co-workers, and only a minimal amount of soul sucking behavior on my part. The big problem for me is knowing what I want to do now that I've decided not to pursue the heavily academic path I was on for so long. A big part of me wants to become an in-home cook, but another part of me still wants to teach philosophy. And then I think the two are not mutually exclusive, but making ends meet with that path is probably very difficult. Usually about that time I start throwing up my hands.

Likewise I'm just focussing on learning life skills. I'd be very interested in helping to build the smokehouse, since that's something I've never done and always wanted to. Would you let me know what workday that will be and I'll try to fit it in my schedule. :)
