I have so much love for this fic!!! Wow, all the side conversations and little references to the band and others seemed so real, and like, they were actual 20 something guys, you know? But Jesus, des, the hotness... You have a way if allowing ridiculously hot moments to build amidst storytelling, and you also aren't afraid to let some of the building be actualfax bad sex, or meh sex. A theme in your writing is lack of romance, and I should just point to you when ppl don't get why I am antifluff but like happy endings. It's not so much that your characters have no romance, I mean, I think it's clear over time what sort of relationship is developing here, but that they do so with lack of expectation, pretension... I think that's what feels so right about it; your characters aren't walking around with half a romance in their hearts, waiting for the next attractive person to waltz in and fill the other side. They tend to tumble into it, and look up, months or years or minutes later, and be like, fuck I totally have a boyfriend

It's SUCH a compliment to hear that they felt realistic, and that the bad sex worked - because I am totally with you, sex fails a LOT, but that's how you learn and it kind of makes it even better when you get it right, y'know?
And I TOTALLY feel you on the romance thing. It just - the way it develops in romcoms just doesn't feel like it would match up with the boys as we know them! And yeah... my idea of fluff is Gerard telling Frank that the only thing that's ever been in his ass is Frank's dick, LOL, (or like you said: Gerard taking the fall for the google search) so I agree 100%. So happy you enjoyed it!

GOD DAMN, THIS WAS AWESOME. Your boys are such BOYS, and they are fucking HILARIOUS, and I love how they just kind of FAIL their way into this, in a way that is actually ultimately not faily at all, but about wanting a real connection, awkwardness and ridiculousness included. And the fic itself illustrates its central premise in kind of an amazing way, namely that taking your time is sometimes AWESOME, because by sticking around while they flounder their way through less-than-fantastic sex, you get the full impact of the really really REALLY fantastic sex at the end, with all the history behind it. Ngggh. I LOVE THAT. And also? PEDICONE. A;SLKFJA;SL DF;ALSKDFJ A;SLKDFJ A;SLKDFJ (Also I have a GINORMOUS kink for dirty talking and therefore I VERY MUCH appreciated that aspect of all of this, holy shit.)

This is awesome! It was so natural and funny and super hot. Like, the little details, the conversations, everything. Characterisation was fab, and the sex was just ghjdfg. The size difference between Frank and Mike when Mike restrains him was delightful, to say the least. Great job :D
