I see a lot of parallels between you and me at the same point (end of hs). At this time last year, I was trying my hardest to not focus on what I perceived to be little more than nostalgic crap. I didn't go to prom, and I almost didn't go to graduation. Why bother? I already felt like a college student. And, like you and Ezra, I didn't feel like I had a "place" in high school. All I can do is to remind you that college is the first time that you are grouped together with people based on common interests and academic achievement, not just because you happen to live near them. It's a very different experience, and I hope and think that you'll find it way better than HS. The first semester may be tough--it's hard to get your bearings--but just hold on. Sorry for the cliched little pep talk, but I just don't want you feeling like college is just going to be high school 2.0.
