Two?

Yeah. I was pretty sure for a while that I was still dreaming. Can't say I know those names, though. Either way, mine's Maverick.

Two. Three. Four. [...on down to Twelve] I should know who they are, but I don't. They flew with me. I don't know if I want them to be here or not, but maybe if I talk to enough people I'll recognize their voices.

He KNOWS some number is missing... dwn_infinite January 15 2010, 21:15:19 UTC
[He pauses, pondering this, and doodling in a few random numbers in a margin before scratching it out.]

Can't tell you much. I just got here this morning. I think I still have some of that stuff in my hair.

Oh well. Confusion loves company.

I think there might have been more than that, but they went by those numbers. It's - my dream wasn't very clear.

It does come out, doesn't it? When it dries, it turns back into gel after being wet again, I hope.

There's that.

Greetings, Rogue. I am Handmaiden. Asking who is in charge is a difficult question. We do not have a central authority in this place. The captains of the Guard, Adventurers and Watch--Bastet, Snap and Stoneface--are the closest we have to that, as they take charge during emergencies.

I have not heard of anyone who has chosen those names, unfortunately.

Hello, Handmaiden. Guard, Adventurers, Watch. Three factions who keep this place a step above anarchy? How many people live here? Can't be too many, if there's no real government.

How long is a day here?

Thanks. It's worth a try.

most of that number's from the NPC population ice_echani January 15 2010, 21:31:14 UTC
Only about two thousand.

Twenty-four standard hours. A year is twelve months and 365 days, although the number of days in each varies between thirty and thirty-one.

And no one's tried to become the chief or mayor or anything? Huh.

And an hour is sixty minutes, a minute is sixty seconds, and a second is this long? [two dots one, made approximately a second after the other]

Sounds like there are more thirty-day months than thirty-one. [yes, he added them up.]

Thank you. [pause] Gravity... I don't know if it's standard or not, but it doesn't strike me as particularly weak or strong, and the air doesn't seem unusual either. I guess I was hoping that learning some specifications about this place would make me remember if I knew where this was.

Someone going by the name of Two? That is a strange name.

Welcome to Edensphere, Rogue; my name is Fred. I'm very sorry to say that I do not know the answer to any of your questions.

They called themselves Two. There were eleven numbers, Two to Twelve. I don't know if those were their names.

Thank you, Fred.

[Pen taps. Some numbers are missing, but Fred isn't sure why she feels so positive of that... nor does she know what numbers might be the missing ones.]

Certainly.

There's a blue haired chick named 00. But I dunno about Mynock.

Welcome to the Conspiracy, Rogue! There's no government if that's what you're looking for. Where is here and it's cocoons because TPTB ripped off every scifi cliche known to man when they built this place.

Don't go asking too many questions or the residents here will have a spaz.
