Four prototype corsets.

Jul 25, 2008 09:26

In August, I would like to make four corsets.

[edit] ALL FOUR PLACES ARE NOW TAKEN!
Thanks to faerierhona, puddingcat, madamequeeny and ephemera. :D

The corsets will cost £70 each. (This is roughly half of what I will be charging in future.)
They will be an underbust style, like the fish corsetThey will be made from fabrics which I already have in my Shed. (photos to follow ( Read more... )

Brocade fabrics are now here!

The pictures are a combination of scans and photos, but none of them really show how gorgeous these fabrics are. :(

Cool! :D

I have enough fabric left over to make one which matches your coat, if you like?

Ooh, and as you're coming over in a couple of weeks to collect the coat, it's probably easier if I measure you in person. :)

Damnit, me! I want a new corset more than I want new software! Woot!

At the moment I'm thinking the purple/blue shimmer viscose fabric, but it sounds like there are lots more pretties to come, so - pending :D

no point me measuring me just now... I will remember for when I'm back to something approaching a normal size again.... then I will have to find a babysitter so I can go somewhere to wear it more exiting than the supermarket!

Oh! I know what I meant to ask you! You know the paddington pyjama trousers? They come so high up the waist that they are really only suitable for a pregnant person. Would you like them as a baby-warming gift?

(You'll need to remind me of your address though, I lost all my contacts when my computer died!)

OOOh, that would be cool thank you! Are you e-mailable now?

I did actually think about maternity trousers for you.... well... not actual maternity trousers, but I was thinking seeing as you can't have pressure on your tummy, taking the design of them, but working them so they fit your dimensions might do the trick for you?.... Would mean tackling trousers though ;) I gave in and bought some the other weekend - they're still massive on me, but I thought it made more sense to buy some now, rather than buying more "1 more size up" trousers that will only fit me for a few months! They're so comfy - it's like going to work in my pjs!

No you haven't - I would have offered to make five, but I saved a space for you, just in case. ;)

Just cos you were the first person to be interested when I made the fish corset. (But yes, Dennis the Menace is pretty irresistable!) ;)

You're quite welcome to pop over one evening while you're in Newbury (trains to Reading are pretty good), or on your way back - whichever's easiest for you. :)
