I'm not exactly free to wander around the city. And, no offense to you, but I can't extend an invitation right to my holding cell, especially as you work for people who have already ordered my assassination once.

Everybody's been gone since the plagues. It feels weird. Someone told me that they're probably dead. I'm not supposed to miss them this much but I do.

A lot of people died in the plagues. From what I can tell over the journals, they're still going through lists of the missing and the dead. It is normal and even expected to miss the people who are gone.
