Usually he would ask before having friends over but he had been so excited he hadn't thought about it. Besides, he was being on his best behavior and shouldn't get into much trouble about it anyway. Micah took a sip of the cocoa and smiled. "It does feel like forever, doesn't it? It's really good to see you, Aden." He hooked a foot around the chair leg and took a look around the kitchen.

"So how are you liking Florida? It's really different from the New York scene." Micah's good with the small talk for now. Gives him time to work up the words.

"You too..." He smiles shyly as he scoops the marshmallow up and eats it, listening to him speak and making sure not to interrupt like he usually does. "I like it a lot, it's cool to finally be out of there-- and the weather is much better! Besides there's a beach! Which is just, really cool."

He scrunches his face up in a grin for a moment before he speaks again, "It seems like you've done really well for yourself here, which is good, I was worried when I lost contact with you. But you know how things are-- especially back home-- stuff was just getting a little too much. Florida's like a fresh start for me."

He nods. "I thought about coming back to New York after Momma J died, but I couldn't bring myself to sell her club, so I decided to take a crack at running it. It works out for me, so I " He took another sip of the cocoa. "I've always loved the beaches here. My place is just a brief walk from the beach, but not quite on it. Sometimes there's just too many people on the beach for me to want to have a place on it."

Micah brushed hair back behind his ear and smiled. "So, are you living here alone? Seems like a little big of a place for just you, babe."

"Yeah it is ah..." He looks down nervously before back to Micah, raising his left hand and flashing the ring on it. "I live here with Tristan he's..." He trails off looking for the right word, but there were so many and all of them just little pieces of the man, "Lover, but he's probably out doing something right now." He admits as he clears his throat and sips form his cup again.

"I'll introduce you guys when he gets home though," He wasn't sure what Micah would make of Tristan really, but he wasn't going to lie about that part of his life at least...
