How do you work out voice for characters you get stuck on? Some of my original characters come to me so easily that I don't even have to think about them... but others... I know the message that they want to send but not the words they use to express themselves. Does anyone have any particular techniques that they use

I'm not any good at that myself, but maybe if you could find existing characters that maybe had the kind of personalities you were looking for? Just so you could see how they said something, or how they'd act in a given situation... something like that?
