You know, I'm usually really humble about my work and I never think it's as good as people tell me it is, but right now I kind of feel like A REALLY GREAT DESIGNER. Because I would never, evereverever work something like that up and hand it to a client, even as a joke. Are they kidding with this crap? I'm completely baffled.

It was a fairly major design firm... I can imagine it, they presented sheet after sheet of evolved, sophisticated designs, to be shot down again and again by the corporate asshats at Gap. Till finally they tossed out a bunch of desperate doodles, and one of the suits shouts. I like that one. And the pros just sighed, took the check and went home and got drunk.

Or they are slap happy toasting themselves on pulling a fast one on a major brand, took the check and went out and got drunk.

And now to make matters worse, they're crowdsourcing due to the HEAVY backlash.

So some poor designer who wants recognition will redesign it a million times better (oh...and not be paid.)
