riding in your car in your state in your world in my dreams
listening to "let's pretend" by no-fi
i thought of this poem.
i remember too much of you. like sitting on zach's couch and reciting your i-want-a-dog-a-big-one-one-i-can-run-and-play-fetch-with. why do i do these things. my mind is far far far too crowded. swollen.

"let's pretend we never happened
we saw, we conquered, came, and left"
That's a line on par with just about anything that's ever been written. If the entire poem were in the same vein as:
"let's pretend we watched the sun set
danced across the boulevard
and the cold didn't swirl
between us"
you could forget about suicide girls and be the next Sylvia Plath...
...but much better looking.
