I turn 25 in less than a week. I have earned 155 credit hours and have a 3.95 GPA. I have spent the last 13 hours sitting in front of a computer unsucessfully struggling to write a 5 page essay for a Freshmen English class. It is not finished. I would not graduate this semester even if I had finished. I have failed.

I can beat all those numbers. You have no reason to consider failure. I'm still here, fighting away, dealing with depression, and I need you at my side, fighting off these tyrannical giants that threaten us both.

Just to let everybody who reads Elissa's journal know, I talked to her tonight, and she's fine. She got her paper turned in, and was assured by her professor that she isn't going to fail, and was given an "assignment" to go home, eat a good dinner, and then go to bed, which she did. She wanted me to tell everybody not to worry ... so don't worry :)

That said, wouldn't what you said imply that the system failed, and that you were (mostly) the frustrated victim of an arcane and unnecessarily byzantine administrative policy?
